I have a pretty decent grasp on knowing about alot of the technology out there. I just don't own much of it. I've known about cell phones since they looked like GI Joe walkie talkies, but I didn't own one until about 4 years ago. You know...that kinda thing.
I do have a couple of PC's and a laptop, but I guess that technology is coming close to the "tube TV" category. Tablet?...I-phone?...no got, no need.

So, I'm quizzin' my IT pal about patching together some of my old technology stuff to do things that are already re-designed as better mouse traps. He calls me old man Brettski and sends me this comic strip.

You have to struggle to keep up some times!

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I guess I will just keep using my old grandpa box. Tablets just don't suit me.

I like my lap top. Tablets have a long way to go before they are as capable and smart phones are no where near as capable.

I haven't used my laptop once since purchasing an iPhone (couple years ago).. I've only used my desktop if my phone was dead..

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

I agree with CJBS that my lap top is much easier. I do have a smartphone but it is not practical to do certain tasks on it.

Tablets and laptops are great for certain things. We have both at home. I have a desktop at work that has 7 screens attached to it and uses several memory intensive programs at once. A latptop or tablet couldn't do that.....

Right tool for the right job.

All laptops, smartphones and desktops have certain uses, but none of them need to be used at the cabin by the pond! Unless your taking a picture with your phone or video! smile

I just got back from 2 weeks in wyoming with nothing but a tent, a grill and a bow and arrow. Absolutely one of the best things about the trip was leaving technology behind.....How bout them packers?????? Looks like they got a bit of superbowl hangover going......talk about "hair of the Dog" almost felt sorry for the saints.
