Debbie,

Ricki and I will keep you in our prayers. We wish you a speedy and complete recovery and relief from future back pain.

Debbie: Connie had something similar in 1975. She had L4 and L5 removed, although her surgery was not as intrusive as Bob tells me yours will be. You know Connie well enough to know her recovery was complete and she leads a very healthy life. And that was 33 years ago. We will be thinking about you and hoping for an absolute complete recovery. Make sure you get with a physical therapist when the time is right. If your therapy is like Connie's that will be lots of walking and swimming. You are in our prayers.

Bob, I had the exact same surgery in 1999. Tell Debbie that mine turned out great and I only spent about 3 days in the hospital and was up walking around the second day in. It is a tough procedure but she is one tough lady if she has put up with you all these years. Best wishes and prayers. If she has any questions about the surgery give me a shout and I will tell her how mine went.

Bob has shared some of the details of Debbie's surgery with me. Suffice it to say that hers is more complicated than the standard lower back fusion. Debbie will do well and be stronger for it, but she has quite a surgery and recovery facing her. She and Bob have been through a lot since God brought them together and are stronger for it, and I know everyone hopes and prays for the entire family.

There are many reasons
for you to get well.
Your family loves
and needs you,
your family is
worried about you...
...your family is totally
unsupervised in your kitchen.

They say laughter
is the best medicine...
...so go out in the hallway
and walk behind other people
in hospital gowns!

Get Well Soon

May you find comfort in knowing
many of us are caring about you
and we hope good health will be
restored to you soon.

Debbie just read all your posts over my shoulder. Here's her words to you, "I know the power of prayer and it makes me feel good that such a great group of people are praying and wishing me well. I am humbled."

From Bob...thanks to all of you. We went to the doctor and hospital today to take care of all the preliminary pre-op stuff. She's all set. Debbie goes in Wednesday at 6 a.m. to get ready for her surgery at 7:30...she's batting leadoff and that's a good thing.

There's wifi in the hospital and if I can connect, I'll post as soon as word is received.

We love you guys immensely. Thanks for the prayers.

Thinking of Debbie from the great state of PA. Can I get a witness from PA?

Bob, how did she become the "Queen," as opposed the "Princess?"

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I wish and I am praying for Debbie a successful operation and a complete healthy recovery with no complications. My employee is going to have the same type of operation reducing bulging disks and fusing 3 lower vertebra on Dec 18. I know she and Debbie are looking forward to the operation to relieve constant intense back pain. Constant back pain with relief only from pain pills is terrible to endure. May the surgeon's talent be gifted and enhanced by God's power.
