Fun with Furheads. Are their new Corona cabins finished ? Looks like you have 9 cases to empty in a hurry.

lynda, They live in the great outdoors, though they do have the cat hotel to sleep in and are well fed.

Theo, Talk about a perfect setup. If that is you that took her picture, then the turkey would be right in front of her! Where's MY turkey?

I hope they're neutered! We had a pair in a our barn when I lived at home that multiplied to 16 in no time! We didn't mind a few taking care of mice in the barn but it got out of hand!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Are those outdoor cats petable? They look very well groomed (they must keep each other clean) and fat. Poor cats, they multiply really fast.

Two are very human friendly, two are cautiously friendly, two are approachable but wary. The other three are wild as the wind.

Two are very human friendly, two are cautiously friendly, two are approachable but wary. The other three are wild as the wind. This is a great thread, especially for those of us who appreciate cats. You just never know how a cat will grow up. I really like cats. I've been on both sides. Growing up on a farm, and living most of my life in rural areas, I've probably shortened the lives of many hundreds (maybe thousands) of kittens and cats. I'm always amazed at how the kittens of wonderful domestic parent cats can be so evil, yet some feral kittens can become so well adjusted and loving. I guess humans aren't all that different. My youngest son and his family have one of the nastiest cats I've ever met. Assuming we really know the father, this cat is a neutered descendant of really wonderful ancestors. I have some serious scars to prove just how "friendly" this beast is. Yet, my wife and I currently provide a home to two extremely lovable and gentle cats. To the best of our knowledge, both were feral kittens. The younger one is now about five months old. She appeared several months ago, near death, and smelling like roadkill. Our closest neighbor is over a half-mile away, so we really don't know where she came from. We nursed her back to life. We had a ruptured eye removed, plus a few other things. She becomes an instant friend to anyone and everyone who enters our doors. Similarly, we adopted a seriously injured kitten nearly 18 years ago. We figure he too was a feral kitten. He was found eviscerated on a busy 4-lane divided highway near a veterinary clinic. They pushed his insides back in, and sewed him up. He was like a mascot at the clinic for about a month after he was stitched up. We agreed to let him spend a night, to see if he would fit in with the rest of our critters. With his chest puffed out, he confidently walked in our back door. He quickly took over the house, the yard, and the barn. He became the king he is today -- nearly 18 years later. Even our most dominant rooster respects him. (He completely ignores the roosters and hens.) 18-year-old Joe (of the whitesox) Tonight Gentle 13-year-old Joe enjoying and enduring a grandson, about five years ago: Friendly Young Joe at the edge of the dining room rug, with a young cat attitude: [Moderators -- if this is out of place, or deemed offensive, please feel free to remove it.]

Great stuff Cat. I did a save on that last photo, that is just too great of a picture to lose to potential moderation. I completely agree with your conclusion about not knowing how a cat will grow up, each one developes it's own personality.
Great photos!

I have a zoo - cats always have been my favorite, but I love my dogs, cats and ferrets (and fish, turtles, birds, snakes and lizards.... ) I try to blame my daughter for all the pets, but I am just as bad.... This is my older cat Blair, fending off the young cat, Jack from their new catstand from 3 Christmases ago... [img] [/img] Then there is my Boo - all black, found him the day after Halloween last year and he hasn't stopped growing... [img] [/img] And of course our beloved faithful water loving dog Shadow and his new little sister Here she is with one of our ferrets And while I was in Venice last June I found that Boo actually decended from Royalty

Thanks Sue ! I feel like I have had ( and enjoyed) a quick trip to the Cruz-on-through zoo. What about the fish, turtles, birds, snakes and lizards ? Any pics.
