I'm on a liquid diet for a few days in preparation for a colonoscopy. I know I shouldn't, but I've always shared what I eat with my pooch, as it's only she and I during the day and we're buddies. I tell everyone I'm always on a half a portion diet as the dog gets half. I also tell them she likes rap music and cool music, as all I have to do is unwrap something in the kitchen or take something out of the fridge and she comes running -- even out of a deep sleep!

Anyway, I'm half starved as I can't eat any solid food. But guess who's more upset than I am about it! The dog! She keeps coming up to me when I'm in the kitchen and at other times as if to say, "Hey Dude where the REAL food!"

Yesterday I made a run to the grocery story and got some jello mix, broth mix, Apple Juice and Pop which is all I can have right now. The dog was whining as I came up the stairs hoping I brought her something to eat! Last time I was at the grocery store I brought back and shared some broasted chicken with her. She would kill for broasted chicken! Now she thinks I've got some when I come up the stairs with the bags!

Hang in there poochy! One more day! Gosh darn it you've got your own food too!

I'm just about hungry enough to eat her dog food!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

IME the prep for Colonoscopies, Lower G.I.s, and Sigmoidoscopies is worse than the actual procedures. And your poor dog has to suffer with you!

It don't think it will be necessary for her to go through the non-dietary portion of the preparations, Cecil. \:o

Well actually she has no choice. I didn't buy an solid food because I couldh't have it. And I didn't want to torture myself by getting her some broasted chicken. What if I slipped? I can just hear the doctor, "Man that is either a piece of broasted chicken in there are that is the nastiest polyp I have ever seen!"

Gee thanks Sunil. That comment and the stuff I'm taking is making me even more likely to run to the John. Thank God I have a John right next to my shop!

Cecil, just tell your doctor that you'll stop stealing forceps to remove hooks from those beautiful trout and then maybe he'll reconsider the extensive surveillance work.

I've always preferred Elvis as the accompaniment for this type of medical work - "Glove Me Tender".

I can take no credit. Of course, it's from the movie, Fletch.
