Finally the day of stocking could be coming, see "starting the dream" for a full run down of all the problems and delays. Middle pond (formely known as cafish) is almost half full. It will be just under an acre when full, max 10 feet deep average 5 feet, clay bottom with steep sides.
1. Is there any difference (advantage or disadvantage) in stocking the forage Fatheads and Golden shiners in the fall versus in the spring? I would love to stock them now and at least have the fun of saying there is fish in the pond.
If I stocked forage this fall then ......
2. 3-5 " LMB would be stocked late summer to fall or the following spring, with that in mind would 5 lbs of Fatheads and 10 lbs of shiners sound right?
Don;t worry about forage sufficiency. Still working on other forage without Blue Gill. Pond may just be bass on bass pond so minnows would serve to start the bass. Steep sides may limit weeds which would open up other forage possiblities. thanks

Congratulations, Kurt. What an ordeal you've had. So glad you are close to having fish in the water.
No pond yet, not even land. But working on it.
