Hi, new to PB. All my experience with ponds was with trout, so have a quick learning curve. Have a public pond that is well established and about 1 acre with an island. Probably only has about 12 LARGE LMB (16-20 inches long) and bluegill. No natural recruitment in last 5 years for LMB at least. No cover off shore, but correcting that with some homemade fish logs of cinder blocks with weedwhacker line. Putting new fishing docks into the pond for handicapped fishing access. Since I have no experience with stocking for LMB and warm water fish, any recommendations about shiners, shad, or other small minnows, etc. and approx. weight to add to pond? There is a good mix of size of BG, but only huge bass. How many pounds of minnows to fingerling bass to hopefully get a better number of fish and recruitment? Also, any suggestions on stocking crawfish? Will also be adding a rip-rap area for extra cover.

Since a lot of this stuff is regional, I'll refrain from giving advice. However, welcome to Pond Boss.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
