Spring has sprung and after 13 years it's time to paint the boat house. Two sides are easy because they are over land, however the other two are over deep 10-15' water. 13 years ago it was easy for me because I rented a sprayer, climbed the building scaffolding and knocked it out. Scaffolding and ladders would be a problem. Possibly rent a pontoon boat? My boat is a 14' Carolina Skiff which is far from stable. If you got paint on the rental it might cost your first born. ANY IDEAS?
The second problem is the most important, my 'honey do' man who has this task before him wants to kill the red wasp that are very fond of my north side, (if you have ever been stung by one of these bad boys you will know what I'm talking about) he asked me to buy two cans of spray. Spectracide Wasp Killer, I'm afraid when the wasp are sprayed at 6am they will fall in the water and the bream will eat them, killing my bream that are very healthy. Fire was a thought however I do not want to start something I can't control.
HELP !!

HELP !! For the wasps, hook the guy up with a pump sprayer filled with hot water and dish soap. I don't remember the ratio of water to soap but I bet you can find it on the net. Good Luck!

+1 on the Dawn soap in a sprayer. Been doing that for years and it works well.... just make sure that you saturate them well when they hit the ground so they don't get back up and get away. BYW it works on most insects. Even fire ants
