Just an update. I stocked catfish three years ago in the pond. They were about 6-8 inches when I put them in. They eat my fish food like a its going out of style. Anyway they are harder then heck to catch because the wont eat anything but the fish food. Yesterday I threw my food out and then went and got a Hula Popper of all things-threw it in the mess of fish and WHAM the fight was on. Here is the pic with my fiances son. I gave him the pole and told him to hang on!!

Nice Cat.
FBcoach try getting a long shank hook and super glue fish feed to the shank. Put a piece of split shot at the hook eye to weight it down. Fish with a very small bobber and about 1' deep. I cast across the fish food and slowly real it back into the feeding area. Has worked for me for years at removing hook shy cats. Normally you will get just a couple before the fish slow their feeding.

Nice dark cat there. They sure are fun to catch. I have some close to that size in my pond and they were stocked in Dec 2009. They would probably be larger had I not put so many of them in.
