That must be Dwight's sundial to count down when he can ice fish. If we knew what time he took the pic we could tell the compass directions and time. My guess is 4pm from the shadow length and 15 hours. Thus he will be ice fishing at a 7am the next day.

Dwight, during daylight hours my best ice fishing time frame is usually between the hours of 11:00AM to 1:00PM when the sun is overhead.

Yesterdays Fishing Report: I caught this Northern Pike on 4 pound monofilament. The battle lasted about 20 minutes with 4 good screaming drag runs. Once I got her nose in the hole my brother gaffed her in the low lip and out of the hole she came. Miraculously there was absolutely zero line damage from all those teeth!

No cabin fever in Mennesota, huh. Folks, you should recognize that sundial is made from an anti-freeze bottle for the human engine.
