Sadly I haven't started mainly because my freezer dried krill hasn't arrived yet. The sales rep said there was an "error" in shipping it out from Colorado and I should get it by the end of the week. I was supposed to have it by last Thursday.

I hope I'm still able to capture enough by the time I get the krill. The predator fish in the pond are probably cropping them down. (They're only about 2 inches).

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Hey Cecil:

What you paying for what quantity of Krill? I've been paying a fairly ridiculous price for a fairly small quantity from PetSmart and Wallyworld. It's OK for playing around, but I'd hate to try and get serious with these prices.

That looks too much like how Bruce started the Global Warming thread.

It's expensive at $64.00 for a 2 kg block but considering how light it is that's a good size block. And what I don't need I can freeze. Want to buy some?

There's never been any doubt in my mind that pirates are somehow behind the recent spike in krill prices.

Cecil, You do not need Krill to feed train your fingerling LMB. Start with chopped nightcrawlers and or chopped fish(1/4"-3/8" pieces). Then after 2 days when fingerlings are eating chopped worms good, start adding softened rolled pellets. Rolled pellets will sink with the worm pieces. Fingerlings should be eating primarily soft pellets after 6-8 days or sooner. At that point you can gradually stop rolling pellets and just feed soften food. Gradually work the fingerlings to firmer and firmer pellets.
