This is tying into the carrying capacity/standing crop questions.
Is there any place on the internet that I can find out the number of fish of a given size and species that are in a pound? i.e. there are "X" numbers of 2"-3" BG in a pound.
I was looking for the commonly stocked gamefish, panfish and baitfish.

Chapter 17 has a lot of info on fish-length/weight in pound units. http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/publications/pdfs/IFR/ifrhome/Manual_intra.htmMay have to get out the calculator. From table 17.2 a 2.5" BG weighs .0091 lbs. 1/.0091=109.89, so there would be approximately 110 2.5" BG per pound. Skip all the stuff until where numbered page 5 begins. This is the start of table 17.2. The rest of it might give someone a headache.

Glad it is over, get well soon I would also be interested in the info you have, or anyone else has for that matter.

I would say what I caught but too graphic for this site. Im not from bathroom I will say that. Poor wyatt vomitting all nigh on sat you feel so helpless. I have actually taken care of a ton of business today Nate. i might just start staying home and work just from phone.
back on topic- here you go:
From Malone hatchery
Species Weight/1000 fish length (inches) BG small 4-17 1-3 medium 18-33 3-4 large 34-54 4-4.5 jumbo 55+ 4.5-6
res small 2-15 1-3 medium 16-30 3-4 large 31-44 4-4.5 jumbo 45+ 4.5-6
black crappie- ironically same as res
from AL hatchery
6-8 inch channel cats- 65-80 lbs/1000 8-11 inch channel cats- 120-150 lbs/1000
hope this helps in your math. Ok gotta go. that typing worn me out.

Man, I hear you about that helpless feeling when your kids are sick...it's the WORST. Get well Greg...flu season is nearly over. I know my turn is around the corner. How cool, I finally found a use for that avatar!

Greg:
You're excused you're sick. Are the weights/count reversed on the BG & RES?

I think it is over-thanks. It was intense but only about 24 hours of hell.
Stupid formatting. I had the table looking good but it got rid of spacing. Basiclly the first bg is small-1-3 inches and weigh 4-17 lbs/1000fish and so forth. No esshup those are correct res weigh less than bg as little guys.

Yeah, sometimes transferring data isn't the easiest thing. (format wise)
Thanks Greg.
