Well I had a levee clean up day Friday and made me a few brush piles while I was at it. Glad I had those insulated chest waders!!! This second picture is of a Cotton Wood tree I cut down on the other side of the pond. Looks like it will make a nice little hiding spot for a few fish anyway! RC51

I do that also. When we clear the dam I will pile the cut brush in mounds along the dam. The piles may go down to 8 or 9 feet and stick out 20 feet into the pond. I can tell you that they work well for catching fish.

Good job, RC. - We finally got our first notably sized tree to die and fall into the pond in the designated shallows of a small wetland area. There will be more.

Thanks guys I tried making the work fun. It's really is amazing how much weight 2 inches of ice can hold! Of course my pond is not aerated. Cecil!!! Just kidding!!
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
