Haven't been on for a while, and don't really have much to share except a pic of the pond that I took while duck hunting in January:

I'm going out to the farm tomorrow for the first time in a month. I'm told we had 6-8" of rain last week.

Carl Spackler: "This place got a pool?"
Ty Webb: "Pool and a pond. Pond would be good for you..."

Took this one a couple hours later from the south end of the pond -- not much breeze that day:

You sure did. A friend that lives just down the road from my property in NE lamar county had water going over his dam during that storm. All turned out ok though.

For those of you who have decided against embracing the new second (or heck, maybe first) language in the USA, Fishman Dan is saying "Hello."

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

FWIW, "hola" is also Porturalian for "The cattle are dying."

"Live like you'll die tomorrow, but manage your grass like you'll live forever."

One must admire the efficient use of characters when speaking the King's Porturalian.

Allow me to take a stab at this...

For those of you who choose not to embrace Espanol, I believe Fishman Dan is saying "My cat has green pants?" Note that he is asking a question vs. making a statement.

Fishman Dan, yes, I believe your cat does have green pants.

I believe he has taken some liberty with the verbal congregation and adjectivial progression, but they are, indeed, green pants.

OK, fine. But does his cat have green pants? He wants to know.
