I live 18 miles from my pond, but I'm a little more than a weekender. I'm out there at least four times each week.

I am about 30 mins. if no traffic problems from the ponds. Weekends and holidays mostly and once in a while after work.

I live 200 yards from my pond, but I only made it out there once yesterday. Of course, I did stay for 2 hours and fish ...

My house is about 100 yds from mine. I still find myself saying "when did this happen?" a lot though.

52 miles away.
Lucky if I get one day a weekend now with a two year old and one on the way in (6) weeks.
No family living structure there either which dicks me even harder.

2.5 mi as the crow flies, 5.5mi by road.
I hope the 5.5mi changes to 0mi. If I can sell my house, I will build a new one right on the pond's edge!

My pond is a hundred feet from my house. I can't see it from the house because of the crown of my driveway. My lake is several hundred yards away and makes for a very pleasant hike to go see it. Of course, having water in it would make that hike even better!!!

70 miles away and don't get there nearly as often as I want/need to.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

163 miles from my house, generally I leave from work which cuts it to a 2 hour drive. I usually visit once a month (Stay for 3 days) except during hunting season, then I'm there every other weekend

Oh folly, never quite imagined that half of the pond boss community lived farther than walking distance to their ponds. You have my sympathy, lk

Illkizfiveah, I wish I was closer to the pond like you are. I love your name. I keep wanting to ask you how things are going in the Borg Collective. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

from house, 400 feet down my road in the woods, and there it be. since starting my own business 2 1/2 years ago, and when i'm not out in the field, i get to check on things 3,4,5,6 times a day. right now i'm watching water evaporate faster than I want, and am really wishing i had my new well in. good news is... as new shallow areas develop, plants (cover) grow there and its choked w/ mosquito fish which is really cool, cause i only planted 9 little guys in May.

30 ft horizontal from the house. Lucky me house is about 20 ft above the pond and looks down upon it. Usually walk around it 5 times a week. Nice thing is gazing at it every morniing and evening. The reflection of the sky with the moon has been special of late. It is only half full now but still a great pleasure. It will be really great when it gets full. Hoping for ducks. Already have blue heron, redtail hawks and tons of ohter birds.
2/3 acre pond 12 miles from that big pond we call Lake Erie.

40 ft from house. When the moon is full it's a beautiful site. Have many blue herons and other birds also. Until this past week it was like it was raining in reverse with water vanishing at a rapid rate.

You guy's who live on or near your property are NOT playing fair, I too would like to sip coffee in the a.m. gazing at the sunrise and fog lifting off my pond ! I have kids in college, and need the big city salary...I see the Heron once a month, and Red Tailed Hawks in the Spring. Maybe one day I will live with the dream pond in the back yard ! Can you tell I'm a bit jealous ? Think I could "quit" and just start a tilapia farm, of fish hatchery ?

I would love to be able to wake every mornin and sip DP and watch the water and the fishies feed. you guys are LUCKY ducks I am glad to see that I am not the only tortured soul who have to 'filler up' before going to see my baby on weekends (I feel like a divorced dad with my pond!!!!)

3 of my ponds are within 100 feet of my house. Pond #4 is about 100 yards away and the other 3 aren't visible from the house.

I live 230 miles from my pond at Zephyr. We make it a couple of times a month. Was making it more when I was retired, but they have enticed me back to work. It's a blast when I'm there. That morning cup of of coffee on the dock is really special.
In Dog Beers, I've had one.
