hi everyone, I have an old pond, 45 years, that now has 3 feet of muck and 3 feet of water. It is the size of a tennis court, almost 1 acre. I want to start to aerate but do not know if I should use a surface, high oxygen , aerator or the bottom diffuser method. I have read if you have less than 8' of water a bottom diffuser is pretty much useless.
If I did go with a bottom aerator would I push the aeration unit into the muck to get it as deep as possible? I hope to eventually rid the pond of the muck with bacteria additives and aeration?
Thanks for your help.
Matt
