i had a small pond (1/10 acre)dug. one half 4ft other 8ft. its half full and the water is a greenish color with about 1 to 2 feet vis. i'm filling it from a drainage ditch that flows into a nearby stream. what actions should i take to clear the water up. thanks for any and all help

Assuming that the purpose of the water is to support fish, your visibility is about right. If not for fish, you can use alum or gypsum. However, without fish, your newest best friends will be mosquitos.

thanks for the welcome. yes i plan on stocking it with about 10 lmb and 50 or so bream of some kind. i got about 3 dozen or so minnows left over from fishing trip and 2 palm size bream it now. but cant see none of them.

TO GIVE MY KIDS A PLACE TO FISH AND HAVE ME A PLACE TO JUST SIT AND RELAX. I PLAN ON BUILDING SOMETHING SIMILIAR TO A POOL HOUSE WITH A DECK OVER HANGING THE DEEP END OF THE POND.

I would stock the bream now, let them spawn this summer, then LMB this fall. Stock fatheads with the BG.
