I am wondering if floc logs work? I have used them for the last three years and can't really say if they work or not.I have never seen any noticable difference after the log was added. $180 for a log is quite a bit. I use natural bacteria about once a month and that seems to clear the water better than anything.

Do you have a lot of sediment flowing in? If so, I'd suggest small settling ponds and/or making your own wetlands to trap sediment rather than spending money on something usually mandated for construction sites.

I have a couple of field tiles that run in. So the thought was the floc logs would help bind any phosphorous and clay.
