What is the relationship of DO to water temperature? Will 32 degree water hold more DO than 42 degree water, or doesn't temp have a bearing on DO?
Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.

Colder water holds more oxygen than warmer. For example as water reaches boiling temp. you can see small air bubbles form & bubble to the top.

ts > There are other factors that effect DO holding capibilites also such as altitude, fresh water, salt water DO saturation of 50F (fresh water) water at sea level is 11.3 ppm and at 2000ft is 10.5 ppm / 95F water can hold 6.9 ppm at sea level and drops to 6.4 ppm at 2000ft/Salt water at 50F and 20 ppt (parts per thousand salinity )can hold 9.9 ppm and drops to 9 ppm at 35 ppt salinity.
