I have a 6 acre lake, up to 16 ft. deep. I am having a elodea problem, matting on the surface in areas. Please recommend treatment. I have a 20 gallon spray tank. Please provide info. on the mixture of chemicals and water to used in the tank and amount of area to be sprayed. thank you.

Who identified the plant? Is it common elodea or Brazilian elodea? Are you sure it isn't hydrilla? (all three species share similar characteristics) Just want to make sure before possibly chasing the wrong goose.

Thanks for your reply. To the best of my knowledge, my elodea is "Elodea Cannadensis" as identified in "Water Weeds and Algae" book, and "Aquacide Company" brochure, It is not hydrilla, no serrated edges. Am not familiar with Brazilian elodea. How does it differ from above?
