My compressor just died. I had installed my system the year the pond was built which makes it I think 8 or 9 years old. Bought it from a guy here on Pond Boss but don't know if he is still active. Ted Lea was his name....found original email from him. The compressor is a Thomas WOB-L Piston, Model # 2680CE44, 1/3 HP, 4.4 CFM.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction to purchase a new one? Also, can the old one be rebuilt? Could keep it for a spare.

Thanks
Willy

Old rocking piston can be rebuilt providing the motor still works. Sometimes for the rebuild the pump will need new piston cylinders. There are examples on YouTube of how to rebuild them. Sprkplug also explained how to do it in a past post. I will see if I can find it.

Just an FYI.

Ted Lea passed away a few years back. I guess he was the distributor/ repair go to in the area for Vertex systems. I'm looking for a contact or go to person in Ohio too as he installed our system too.

How close were you to T.Lea? There is a pump seller with repair parts in his area.
