Most likely not, particularly if you are not using bait that mimics their feed. Even then, I don't know that they'd go off feed unless you were just nailing them daily, at which point they may well get a little hook shy and tend to be more cautious about what they go after. I'm not a trout guy so others may have better input.

I use berkley dough hatchery pelets witch work well they literaly will jump out of the water to get it if you hold it over the pond, but i gues i shouldn't use them. Does any one have any advice on what to use that doesn't look like a fish pelet. thanks btw i only caught 2 out of the pond before to measure them

I have caught some of mine with a regular fly fishing fly. Put it on your regular fishing pole or a really long stick like a cane pole to get it out into the water. Time to start learning how to tie flies!!!
Have fun!!!!!

Small pond, I don't think that you'll damage the fishing or the feeding by using what you're using. I was just saying that at some point they may become more conditioned, so you probably want to mix it up often in order to avoid a pattern. Great suggestion to try actual trout flies. I caught a lot of native brook trout as a kid just using a worm without a bobber on an ultralight rig by flipping the worm where I wanted it to go. Lots of ways to catch trout, so just use a variety.
