I just got a new Moultrie fish feeder. How often and how much should I feed the fish? The pond is 1.5 acres and was just stocked with fingerling bluegill last fall. This spring I will stock fingerling bass and channel catfish. The feed that I have is Purina game fish chow. The pond is frozen now. At what water temperature should I start the feeding program? I assume that I won't need to feed as much the first year because I won't have as many and as large of fish as I will in following years. Any help would be appreciated.

Daily is best... are your fish feed trained? They once the water temperature rises to around 50-55 degrees. Probably a half pound to begin with if they are small.

I'd start tossing some food out when the water temp hits 60°F. Small sized food, about the size of the fish's eye. Only feed what they'll clean up in 15 minutes. It'll be a very small amount at first until they get used to the food.
Oops. The GFC will work because it has smaller pellets in it, but I'd see if they have even smaller pellets, maybe AM400. I believe that still floats. You want floating food.
You could hydrate the food like Cecil does to get them going. The most important thing is to feed the same time every day. You can adjust the time of day once they are accustomed to feeding.
