Hello.
Last summer I took 2 live mice and threw them into the pond, I thought they were going back they were big, but wow the perch jumped on them anyway.
This summer I will give them all the mice I am going to take in the garden, have you ever give mice to your fish.

No, never tried it, but how to you harvest the live mice in your garden?
And, how do you know the YP took the mice, YP usually are not surface feeders, did you see a big splash at the top when the mice was thrashing at the top?

Hello
When I make big pile of branches the mice go inside to make their nests, so last year I took 2 while they passed between my legs when I put fire.
To take them alive there must be trap on the net, I will try the minnow trap, it must be done.
Because only perch are in this pond. Oh yes mine are surface feeder. Yes I saw a splash, imagine with the Smallmouth bass

I feed mice in my pond all the time. I had a garbage can full of grass seed and the lid got left off of it. When I realized it and put the lid back on the mice came out as if it was a plague. I got some traps called the tin cat the mice go in and can't get out. I take them out to a bucket half full of water dump the mice in and let them swim until they get tired then throw them in the pond my catfish and bass pound them right away. I have feed as many as 100 in a day.

Hello.
wow, at the number of mice you give to your bass in addition to regular food they must be big.
It must be beautiful to see when the bass jumps over.

We had a fire a few years ago and after the first rain the pond came up about 10" and all the ash and debris caused a big die off. Still recovering from it bass are getting larger, but the cc are between 12 and 18 lbs. I let the mice swim in a bucket so they are to tired to get to shore.
