The following story is true. The name has not been changed because it's already fairly high profile on the www.
-
About 25 years ago, when I was still runnin' wild, one of the guys I worked with became a trusted ally in bar room terrorizing. We were cut from similar cloth and did alot of carrousing...alot. Anyway, after 3 years or so, he quit the job and I lost track of him. The other day, something made me think of him so I Googled his name and found a whole bunch of hits. Seems he wound up in a sleepy little town in Colorado named Granby, working with the Grand County sherriff's police. One short round of phone-tag and we connected.
After he quit work, he went back to school for a B/S degree, then hit the road with his tent and back pack. When he got to Colorado, he knew this was home, blah blah blah, and is now a detective with the county sherriff's police. I told him how I found him on the www, noting all the various hits I got relating to his cop life. He shared a couple stories, but assured me the wildest experience and biggest exposure was surely the bulldozer rampage.
His name is Officer Piechocki. During the video, he does some short parts of the narration and a very brief cameo during narrative near the beginning. Yep, that's my crazy drinkin' partner...all grown up with a gun and a badge.
Some of you will remember this event. I sure hope Otto doesn't get any crazy ideas. Check out this vid clip

About 10 or so years ago, some character in Fort Worth went to a construction site during the night. He started a dozer. partially raised the blade, put it in gear and got off. It did some damage before the party ended.

Many years ago, filled with teenage youthful curiosity and various home cooked libations, a friend and I started wondering just what it took to derail a train. Since the statute of limitations probably will never expire, I won't go into details. We were unsuccessful but still durn near got killed. We didn't impress that train at all. Dodging the LAW took all night in some river bottoms. One try was enough for us.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

We had someone here in MN about 20 years ago do the same thing with a dozer. The machine damaged several houses before it hit one straight on, pushed it off it's foundation, and fell into the basement where it's tracks continued to grind away against the floor until contruction workers shut the machine down. The two kids that did this were in big trouble.
I've also done the train thing in my youth. We were smart enough to know that one wouldn't want to derail a train but not smart enought to know that you shouldn't put large metal things on the track. We ended up doing some track and wheel damage and also had to ditch the cops for a few hours. Even after getting into all the trouble we did just like Brettski's friend we still turned out OK, right? I get the feeling that I can't begin to compete with Brettski and company however.

Gotta get back to fishin!
