Pond Boss Forums STOCKING A NEW POND Types of fish to choose hybrid crappies?

Has anyone had any experience with hybrid crappies? I have a description of them, but would like to see a photo to see if I am interested in purchasing some for growout for my little niche market.

I'm attempting to sell trophy gamefish and panfish (where legal) to other fish taxidermists, taxidermy schools, reproduction suppliers, and wood carvers. See http://www.ligtel.com/~jjbaird/bairdfish2.htm

Presently I purchase feed trained juvenile brook, brown, rainbow, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, and yellow perch and grow them out to trophy size.

I'd like to add crappie and the hybrid would have some definite advantages in small ponds as I understand they are sterile and possibly feedable with artifical feed.

Answering my own post:

I have been contacted by a prominent biologist and he indicated the hybrid crappie is a cross between the white and black, offspring are 50 percent male and female, there is some hybrid vigor but not 300 percent, and they are definitely not sterile.
