I just got back from our place in Wisc. We still had alot of ice on the pond except where the airator is and maybe 1 foot around the edges. There seems to be like a white bubbly film on the unfrozen parts. If you put a stick in the water the bubles stay intact on the stick but as soon as you touch them they disapear. Anyone have any ideas what this is? iI thought maybe some type of eggs or could it be just melting ice with air in it?

Damone,
Glad you made it back safely. The foam is most likely a protien that is brought to the surface. That combined with the colder temperatures would give you the effect you are finding.
