I purchased some property that has a 1/2 acre pond. The pond has been neglected for 30 years and the dam is completely covered in trees in varying sizes. Do I leave the trees or clear them?

Remove anything and everything less than 6" DBH (diameter breast height) and immediately upon cutting each tree paint the cut stump with Tordon RTU. Don't wait an hour and go back to paint what you cut.
Anything larger than 6" DBH pray that they live as long as you own the property and don't die.
