Hello.

In the summer, I take millions of daphnia with traps in my vernal pool.

But I often have Dytique and Notonectes.
I would like to eliminate these insects, I do not want to put oil.

I thought of the floating plastic the one with small air bubbles.

What do you think.

azteca,
Please share picture or describe your trap that collects the daphnia? I'd love to try to trap them myself. I think I have a vernal pool in a woods behind my house. What time of year is best to trap them?

Hello.

Here is a model , I also used to take Gammarus.

At night with Glow-stick or other light it becomes a Light Trap for the fish larvae.

When I put the trap at night in my Vernal-Pool, I take Daphnia and all the aquatic organisms attracted by light.

When the time comes for Mosquito larvae my traps are full.

When my Yellow-perch fry are about 11/2 inch in addition to the pellets, I give them Daphnia and other so that they will grow as quickly as possible so that they do not get eaten to much, by the large Perch when I put them in the pond.

Hello.

To kill predatory insects that breathe on the surface Neps, Dytiscidea, Notonectidea,

I will plug the entrance and leave the trap in the water completely submerged so that the insects can no longer breathe.

I will be able to give the small Zooplankton and Rotifers, Daphnia to my fry, without fear.

A+
