it's a catch 22 @ my place I remove the gators too. I will never forget my first experience with a gator in the pond. Setting in the boat with my dogs and fishing when this small gator pops up just a few feet away, checking to see if we were eatable I guess? He didn't stay long. It wasn't that he was large enough to do much damage about 3' or so, but it started me looking for his mother. So far I have had 3 that size show up. One at a time every so often.
As far as setting Connibar traps they work but I would not use them if any dogs are around.
