My bride & I observed yesterday a VERY large beaver taking advantage of fish food pellets that didn't make it into the water (pond is two feet low now). We have successfully, though unintentionally, trained the large rodent to come onshore next to the feeders! shocked

If anybody would like such a unique animal, you are welcome to come catch it & transport it where you'd like for a very reasonable fee. Dead or alive.

Careful, the swat team might come breaking down your door just before daylight for advertising the sale of a wild animal. grin

I know you jest but they did it to the Amish for selling raw milk so you can't be too careful!

I'd argue that it is no longer an entirely wild animal now that it's been feed trained. Domestic livestock are legal to sell, right?

Yeah, I kid. But it was quite a sight up on shore, maybe the largest beaver I can recall. Surprised me a bit that it eats the pellets, as they contain lots of protein.
