Dr. Dave,
Thank you for taking the time to prepare the past two articles on SMB. I'd like to experiment with SMB and Yellow Perch in the future. I've got some great info on YP from Bill C and look forward to reading any other information you present on SMB.

First of all, please keep me informed on your progress. Similarly, I'm talking with a pondowner about 10 miles north of here who might let us put yellow perch or bluegill (ohhh, the thought of bluegills still scares me) into a gravel pit with overpopulated (high density, mostly small) smallmouth bass and no other fishes. Predators need prey -- what a novel concept! :-)
Second, pay lots of attention to Bill Cody . He's closer to your geographic location, and goodness knows that what works in one part of the country will not necessarily work somewhere else. I've only worked in the Dakotas, NE, CO, and KS.
