For some reason, I have a hard time seeing them in their natural habitat. stickem i do too i am color blind i wonder if that could play into it? are you color blind? Zep, No, I am not color blind, but I can surely see where that would be a disadvantage....I just don't see them. A few years back I was dove hunting down in Cotulla, TX (about 100 mi. south of San Antonio). I had invited this kid from work to go on the trip (he was about 30yrs old, I guess. We were hunting side by side in the corner of this field and killing a fair amount of doves. All of a sudden he turns and shoots straight down about 2' from our feet. Surprised the hell out of me. Then, he picks up a dead rattler with the end of his barrel and flings it over in the high grass. We made 4 hunts while we were there and the kid did the exact thing every hunt. I had been hunting down there for years and had never even seen a snake. Not sure why I don't see them, but it is a bit unnerving to hunt next to this guy and he's killing one every hunt.
...when in doubt...set the hook...
