I would stop running it during the day. The fish are telling you something is wrong and the most obvious answer is the aeration. If it is hot where you are, that would explain the negative response to aeration.
Its actually been pretty cool last week or so. mid to high 70s dropping the 50-60s in the nights and mornings.
