How's your new knee feeling? Was the procedure and recovery very painful?

Knee is doing great. The first week there is a lot of pain. I hate the pain meds so try to get off them ASAP. After that with doing the exercises and going to physical therapy things improve fairly quickly. Unless you need a knee replacement, I don't recommend it.

Re-fired the work out room this morning. Everything still works, including me (though some slower with the load added from Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Keep after it.
Wife had second knee replaced less than a year ago. She was scuba diving 3 months after, although with me and the boat crew doing the heavy lifting with the tanks and weights. She is diving nearly daily now off the dock and getting along fine. Still a pinch of stiffness or soreness here and there, but nothing compared to before the operations.

You fellas still working out. I got up to 240 LBS about 3 years ago. I'm about 6'2"ish. I started working out (CrossFit sometimes). I lost about 50 pounds pretty fast then been tryin to pack on muscle the last couple years. Its hard to stick with it all the time. I'm at about 215ish now. I'm 43 so the muscle don't pack on as easy as it used to. I go 4-5 times a week just straight free weights no cardio. I can still out run all my kids 18,17, and 11 year old twins. So I figured that's good enough.

When I was 43 I put in 4 miles most days, jogging. Was smoking two packs a day or more and partying plenty too.
At 45, (26 years ago) I quit smoking and jogging but not partying. Went walking and working out on the various machines.
Stilling doing the walking and various machines, just not a far and not as vigorously. Partying is never late and not very vigorous either.
I weigh about the same as I did at 43 though have spiked up significantly during periods of working out less and eating more.
Life is a balancing act in most ways.
