I put 13 more eight inch CC into my new pond Saturday, released right by the feeding ring. Every morning and evening I throw out a little food. No show on the first ones (45) I stocked on March 4 or the latest ones. All that shows up in the feeding ring is a swarm of FHM.
What can I do to get the CC in the new pond to show up for feeding? There cannot be enough natural forage in that new 1/4 acre pond for 58 six to eight inch CC.
I put three small brush piles in the new pond when I first stocked it. Maybe the CC are in there and don't notice the feed? The pond is very clear. The feeding ring is in about 3-1/2 to four feet of water.
The two yr old CC in my other pond right next to the new pond have been feeding well on the surface for about a month.
Suggestions?
