I believe if you are diligent with your feeding times and geographic location, the fish will eventually feed. Originally, back in 2014, when my pond was renovated, my fish didn't feed for well over 3 weeks. I just fed (broadcast) less pellets until they started to pick it up for fear of having too much uneaten feed decomposing in the pond possibly causing oxygen issues. You can always increase the amount after the fish start picking it up.
