what do people think about these as suplimental shiner species?
where cj (travis) these days....He sure could help out here...

Blacktail shiners belong to the minnow genus Cyprinella. They occur mostly in streams of south central US. These shiners are primarily stream dwellers, but I think they can thrive in a pond habitat with good water quality because some populations exist in lakes. This has yet to be proven. Blacktails can grow to 7" and get larger than most of the species in Cyprinella. some one is doing some collecting here in FL and is supposed to get me a few dozen..Im hoping these are what he ment...
