Is it possible this fish struck and swallowed a rock? I know musky have been known to do it.

Cecil,
I'd say just about anything is possible.......maybe a big ole crawfish was crawling on the rock when she inhaled it...and the rock just got sucked up in the mix. I've caught many fish over the years with plastic worms and hooks intact in their stomachs.

Charlie,

Trout seem to swallow plastic baits and then not be able to pass them for some reason both here and where I lived in Massachusetts.

Cecil,
I never said she passed the hook and worm rig...lol...I've just caught several LMB over the years where the bait was still intact in their stomachs (weighted hook and all)...some looked like it had been there for a while based on the level of irritation in the internal cavity.

...when in doubt...set the hook...
