The latest edition of Pond Boss brings barley straw to my attention as a pretty good algae control option. I would like to know if its to late to apply a couple of bails or should I have hit it early spring and be putting down a second application now? I like the idea of being organic versus the chemical option.
Or should I treat the existing algae with Cutrine and place the straw now for the prevention of future growth?
I would like to try some and maybe grow some next year. Anybody currently have any or know where to score some? Thanks, JN
