So long as he can stay submerged a beaver is happy. They will even make runways in the mud where water is too shallow in order to stay under & out of sight. Beavers are generally unwanted in a pond. They can do great damage to dams & banks not to mention surrounding trees. Also there is a danger of a tractor or other eqp. falling in their underground cavaties.
