RC, in many cases, the fun is in the planning, kind of like an elk hunt - once you squeeze the trigger you realize that you're on a steep mountainside and two miles from the nearest road with a big mess on your hands.
I hiked 7 miles into the Rockies when I was in my early 20's to bow hunt elk.. To this day I have no idea what I would have done if I shot one..
