The side of the pond by the feeder is open. The rest is iced over, and by the looks of it it's still 6" or so thick. The ice melted enough so that the duck decoy that marks the diffuser in the deep water was mostly showing. Warm sun today or warm weather last night melted enough ice around it so it's not frozen into the ice any more. Either last night or today I'm guessing a hawk or owl thought it was a real duck. It's now laying on top of the ice with the rope pulled up a foot or so.
