I saw a giant gold fish about 2 feet long swimming along the shore. My question is why would anyone put a goldfish in a pond that big?
In my mind you answered your own question.
I might add a few large goldfish to my pond
for exactly what you state...
You Saw Them.
My albino tilapia get the most attention with people
saying "
wow look at that fish swimming by"....
the kids love seeing a fish swim by and it's so much
easier to spot an albino tilapia or white/gold koi.
That may or may not be the reason the person put the one
in the pond you were at, but that's why I may throw a
few in my "pot of stew".
