I have a buddy with a 2 1/2-3 acre pond in Denton,Tx that this growing in it. It is rooted in the bottom of the pond. We've looked thru the tamu website but can't find anything close. these are the best pictures he has of it.

Any guess?

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

I guessed primrose too BGK but after doing some more looking, we think its alligator weed. Not good from what I read. Illegal in TX to possess or transport. My buddy is going to pull some up tonight so we can make a better guess. I'll post better pictures tomorrow. What did you apply to get rid of it?
Thanks for your input!

He's got it everywhere and getting more daily it seems. Pretty sure it's alligator weed. Now we just need to figure out how to get it under control.
