I waited on having electric run to my site. I have to go about 1,500 feet to get from the nearest elec. pole to my site.
When I explored it about 4 years ago, the power company would have done it for free if it was going to be my main residence (which, as far as they knew, it was)
Now they want about $10K just to get me service. Last time I pursued it, I just didn't feel any love coming my way in trying to negotiate with them.
Short story is I do not have electric at my site, and it would have been free had I not waited. The power company was GPU/Penelec, and is now First Energy.
RobA, I'm guessing you might have Exelon?
Was it Theo that said he got a better deal by getting 440 service?
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
