Yeah, you really should have burned them crispy. I've heard stories that each of the pieces from a dismembered Northern Water Snake, just like horse radish, certain amphibians, and certain worms -- can regenerate into another complete clone of the original -- only far meaner! And, just like salmon, many types of wild fowl, etc., they return to their original place of birth to mate.

I think I'd put up the for sale sign now!
