A guy at work sent me a link to a story where they were making functioning guns. Political in nature, so I wont post it. It also stated that they were working on 3D printers that make metal parts. Should be at your local Home Depot in about 10 years.
NASA has 3D metal printers for making quite intricate rocket parts. So do many other manufacturers. A company in Germany builds the equipment.
Kinda on the pricy side tho
