TMI (Too much information) can easily confuse the smartest person. It happens to the best of us.
With a simple compressor attached to a diffuser placed at the bottom of the pond, you will achieve much better results, cheaper and more effectivly than using a water pump.
The concern here is the suspended solids you mentioned. With any circulation, you will be keeping those solids suspended.
What is the cause of these clay particles in the water? Exposed banks? Erosion?
I would first secure the root of that problem before adding any circulator/destratifier method.
Depending on the size of your pond, there are products on the market that will aide in eleminating the suspended solids once the cause is cured. These products have been buffered to ensure one does not have a fish kill due to changes in pH.
What is the size of your pond? Lenght, Width, Depth, any unusual shapes?
This will start this thread rolling.
