Installed a Vertex aerator in our 1+ acre pond last year. Average depth is 5 feet with deepest part 10 feet. Ran it all winter here in VA. Spawn this year looked very light. Fishing was great before the aerator but is now very difficult. Pond has only bass and bluegills. Surface feeding activity at night is very light compared to before aearation. No fish kill has been observed. Surface algae is less this year that before aeration but still strong vegetation in pond. Can anyone explain the poor fishing? Marv
