Our weather seems to be coming out of the southeast -- through Tennessee and Kentucky. All I know is that I'm glad we are above freezing, or we would be buried. This time of year I don't have a rain gauge out, but I'd say we got at least 2 inches of rain since early this morning. I'll have to grade the driveway in the next day or two.
A friend and I were looking at some possible improvements to my ponds this afternoon during a lull in the rain. We saw lightning, heard the thunder, and the skies really opened up. That was about five hours ago.
I'm now about to go to the barn and get a pump to make sure my basement door doesn't let any water in. I have about six inches of standing water in the lower part of my driveway.
